1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Copalot's services ("the Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Changes to Terms
Copalot reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
3. Registration and Account Security
To use the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
4. User Conduct
Users agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe upon third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or other proprietary rights
5. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Ethical and Responsible Use
All users must adhere to our AUP. Copilot does not permit users to create chatbots. The platform leverages AI capabilities for its functionalities.
API Providers and AI Models
Our services use AI models provided by partners. Users must:
- Refrain from generating misleading, harmful, or deceitful content
- Not promote hate, discrimination, or violence
- Respect additional terms set by our API providers
- Ensure content doesn't violate privacy laws, intellectual property rights, or other legal standards
Violations and Mitigations
- User Notifications: Violations will result in notifications with opportunity to rectify or appeal
- Suspension & Termination: Ranging from temporary suspension to permanent account termination
- Feedback System: Users are encouraged to report questionable activities
- Continuous Review: We regularly update our AUP based on evolving standards and user feedback
6. Data Protection and Privacy
GDPR Compliance
For EU/EEA users:
- Rights to access, correct, or delete personal data
- Object to processing, request restrictions, or data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Right to complain to data protection authorities
CCPA Compliance
For California residents:
- Right to know what personal data is collected and shared
- Request deletion of personal data (with exceptions)
- Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
7. Data Storage and Analysis
Copilot stores and analyzes data related to Service usage to improve our offerings.
8. Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of their content but grant Copilot a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, global license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, create derivative works, and distribute user content for Service operation and improvement.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Copilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or other intangible losses resulting from: (a) your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service; (b) any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content; (c) any other matter relating to the Service.
11. Termination
Copilot reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts at our discretion, without notice, for violations of these terms or harmful conduct.
12. Governing Law
